THE NUTCRACKER IN JULY!

This is a first for Canberra ballet dancers: a production for adult dancers aged 16+, across all local studios, regardless of their level or background.

The Nutcracker In July will be established in 2024 as a premier event to start a new annual tradition for years to come. This event includes a weekend of ballet performances of The Nutcracker In July for families and lovers of the ballet and theatre alike.

This will be a community event offering local ballet dancers a local opportunity to perform outside their regular studios and an opportunity for Canberra volunteers and production students to assist in the making of costumes and props.

This production provides an opportunity to participate in a professional-quality narrative ballet involving repertoire taught by ex-professional ballet dancers, teachers and choreographers complete with costumes, sets, props, lighting and animated backdrops.

We anticipate this being a collegiate opportunity for all adult Canberra ballet students. Auditions are open to everyone and may also provide pre-professional students with experience to build their resume.
